Welcome to CrossLeft!CrossLeft is the activism and online enagement sister organization of the Institute for Progressive Christianity and is strategy clearing-house and central hub for grassroots activism among progressive Christians. We bring in news from other progressive Christian sites, and all of our efforts are geared towards coordinating action, educating the country, and providing a strategy for long-term change. ' We encourage you to get involved:

- The buddy list feature allows you to connect with other members on the site. To become someone's buddy go to another users profile and click the link at the bottom of the profile.
- The invite your friends feature allows you to put in email addresses of folks you know to invite them to be part of the CrossLeft community. You can add your own personal message and the system will keep track of your RSVP. Please consider adding family, friends, colleagues at work, and members of your church community.
- The classifieds section aims to replace our connections discussion board with a more robust classifieds system. Feel free to post your latest jobs, information about your church and church activities.
Guidelines and Rules of Conduct
* We invite you to participate in a productive and cooperative ongoing dialogue. We are a progressive Christian organization and as such, we ask that you abide by these general guidelines. They are rooted in biblical principles.
• Do to others as you what you would have them do to you. –Mathew 7:12
1. Treat others with respect and courtesy.
• As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. –Proverbs 27:17
2. We encourage discussion of topics and issues as partners in a mutual endeavor between brothers and sisters in Christ working toward the common goal of understanding God’s will and direction as it relates to social and political action.
3. We are here in a spirit of unity to find common ground from which we can move forward with a progressive Christian agenda.
4. We welcome vigorous healthy debate that does not violate principle #1.
* By registering you agree to abide by the following rules of conduct. The CrossLeft Policy Committee reserves the right to take action which may include warning, request to leave, or termination of your CrossLeft account for violations of the following rules.
CrossLeft users may not:
1. Post illegal content, nor advocate illegal or violent acts.
2. Violate intellectual property rights. (Refer to Creative Commons License statement for details regarding content sharing and cross-posting material from CrossLeft)
3. Engage in personal attacks including those based on gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, nationality, religion, religious or spiritual views, age, or disability.
4. Use foul language, curse words, or sexually explicit language.
5. Engage in deliberately disruptive behavior. While dissenting views are welcome, if it appears that you have no interest in engaging in productive dialogue and if your demonstrated purpose seems to be to disrupt and agitate the operation of this website including use of hostilities or abusive language you may be subject to removal.
